Portrait pricing: How I work in my studio is I stretch the canvas get everything ready and then find a color of paint and wash down the canvas with that color. Then I always sketch the image onto the canvas with paint and a brush and then just start working from there...

You may request a print of any original that you may find on my website and if you wish to purchase more than two a discount will be issued.
How long does it take is something I get asked a lot and the answer to that is depending on the technicality of the piece from 8 hours to 60 hours. Certain pieces take longer than others but sometimes if I am extremely inspired I will paint it quick and it will be done in about 12 hours.
Family portraits around 18" x 24" and such I try to have finished within 2-4 weeks, while my personal pieces I tend to work on them on and off for about 2 months. Murals that range from 5' to 10' usually are done in about 30 hours or so.
Painting is very enjoyable and I do find it easy to put everything into all the pieces I finish. I use my paintings as my personal diary and bring my life into other people with a bit of a surreal kick.
